Service Description

Individual therapy session for people with Parkinson's who are experiencing changes in speech, voice and/or swallowing. This may include support with: - Reduced volume or vocal effort - Changes in speech clarity or intelligibility - Communication difficulties in everyday situations - Swallowing changes (e.g., coughing, effortful swallowing, reduced confidence with eating and drinking) - Education and strategies for self management Swallowing therapy is provided within the scope of outpatient Parkinson's management. If instrumental assessment or medical review is required, appropriate referral pathways will be discussed.
